Liberal City Commission Meets, Approves Insurance Renewal

The Liberal City Commission net Tuesday evening and approved the City’s Insurance Renewal with Employers Mutual through Al Shank Insurance for the upcoming year in the amount of $682,971. The increase reflects the additional properties acquired by the City. Thee Commission also approved a Volunteer Accident Medical policy for an additional $350/year.

The Commission approved a second amendment to the KDHE Water Supply Loan Fund and also approved Taxable Industrial Revenue Bonds for National Beef Packing LLC.

Commissioners adopted Resolution 4540 which would cover paying the City’s vouchers should the Commission be unable to meet.

The Commission approved the Kansas Municipal Pool Investment Accounts and approved naming a platted road in the City as Chance Road.

In an added agenda item, Commissioners approved $179,313.30 to replace a water main on Seward Street.
