HOOKER, Okla. Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) celebrated its 81st Annual Meeting of the Membership on Sept. 24, with nearly 4,000 members participating in the cooperative’s democratic process and helping shape the future of their electric cooperative. The annual meeting featured registration opportunities at seven locations across the service area, guided tours of TCEC headquarters, a business meeting, and grand prize drawings.
Members registered between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at locations throughout the service territory, making participation more convenient and accessible than ever. During registration hours, members also had the opportunity to tour TCEC’s headquarters in Hooker and learn more about the cooperative’s operations. Members who registered will receive a $50 bill credit on their October electric bill as a thank-you for taking part in the annual meeting process.
TCEC extends its sincere appreciation to the nearly 4,000 members who registered and participated.
“While there was not a bylaw change to vote for this year, member participation is at the heart of the cooperative difference and helps shape the future of TCEC,” said Zac Perkins, CEO of TCEC. “Your participation matters. Annual meetings are an important part of the cooperative business model, giving members an opportunity to be engaged and stay informed about their cooperative.”
The annual business meeting began at 6 p.m. at TCEC headquarters in Hooker and was streamed to satellite locations throughout the service area, allowing members multiple ways to participate and stay connected to cooperative business.
As part of the annual meeting, registered members were entered into grand prize drawings. This year’s grand prize winners included:

- Pit Boss Smoker: Lizeth Lopez
- $500 Gift Cards: Clifton Family Farms, Beverly Ottinger, Maria Rosas, Larry January, and Leo Ellis
