On August 24, 2026, Haskell County Deputies responded to the 300 block of Cherokee Street in Satanta regarding a reported stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the owner of the vehicle who advised that it was removed from their property between the evening of Saturday, August 22, and the morning of Sunday, August 23. It was also advised that no individual besides the owner had permission to operate the vehicle. With this information, Haskell County Dispatch sent out notification advising deputies to be attentive and to stop the vehicle if contact is made. Subsequently, on August 28, deputies returned to the residence for further investigation. The owner advised while leaving the residence for work that morning, they had noticed the vehicle was returned to the residence and was parked in the same location it was stolen from. No items had been removed from the vehicle. At this time, deputies are actively investigating the incident to identify the suspect(s) involved. Individuals with relevant information regarding this incident are encouraged to contact the Haskell County Sheriff’s Office.
