The Liberal Rattler 18u team finished play in Goddard this weekend.  A shorthanded Rattler team lost to PPA Prime 18U 15-0 Saturday before a more competitive 6-1  loss to Clutch Baseball Sunday at the Genesis Sports Complex in Goddard.

Saturday, Liberal walked 12 batters in three innings in the loss.  Sunday, Clutch scored two in the first before the Rattlers plated one.  Clutch out-hit Liberal 9-2.  Bren Kappelmann and Ruben Rodriguez had Liberal’s hits.  Hayden Pendergraft worked six strong innings for the Rattlers.  Liberal’s Ethan Olmstead plays for Clutch and went 2-3.

The Rattlers host the Finney County Blues Tuesday night at 6pm for a game at the National Beef Sports Complex.
