Ella Margaret Bellows Musgrove

Ella Margaret Bellows Musgrove, age 93, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Western Prairie Senior Living Community in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born in Kiefer, Oklahoma, on April 27, 1933. She was the daughter of Earl and Ida Bellows. She was the youngest of her 10 siblings, Austin, Warren, Delmer, David, Roy, Marvin, Alvin, Ana, and Geraldine. As a young person, Margaret attended school in Seminole, Oklahoma, and was an excellent student. It was there that she met Hugh L. Musgrove and they were married on August 3, 1950.

Margaret had a great work ethic. She worked for many years for the government in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, as the office manager for the White River National Forest division of the U.S. Forest Service. She was highly respected for her ability to organize, and efficiently complete her work, earning her several awards. She later worked for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in Lakewood, Colorado, and was highly esteemed by her colleagues.

At the age of 6, Margaret trusted Christ as her savior. That began a spiritual legacy of serving the Lord in several churches, the latter being Grace Baptist Church in Ulysses, Kansas. She supported the pastors and programs of these churches and was a person of great faith. She prayed daily for her churches and family. She participated in musical ministries, as well as helping pastors with secretarial duties. In her own family life, she was the spiritual foundation and an unwavering example of Christian values. Those values have been transmitted to her succeeding generations.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings. Her third child, Hugh L. Musgrove Jr. preceded her in death in 2009 as did her husband, Hugh Sr., in 2017.

Margaret is survived by two children, Sharron Gregory and husband, Gary, of Ulysses; and Martin Musgove and wife, Kathy, of Georgetown, Texas; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

In her final days she said, “I have had a long, full life and I have no regrets.” She quickly followed that by saying, “Except I have not met my great-granddaughter, April, and my great-great-granddaughter, Autumn” who were recently born. She did meet them shortly after that. She always loved and prayed for her family and supported us all to the best of her ability. She was a great mother, friend, and Christian, all titles that she exemplified in her life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her!

Thanks Mom!
