An injury accident occurred Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:07 pm at US 50/West Street in Kearny County. A 2008 Ford F-150, being driven by Taesen Reece McEntee, 16, of Deerfield, was traveling Northbound on West Street. A 2015 Ford Explorer, being driven by Kerrstyn Diane Muncy, 27, of Hugoton, was Westbound on US50. McEntee failed to yield to the right of way to traffic and collided with the Muncy vehicle. The F-150 came to rest facing North on the North shoulder of US 50.  The Explorer came to rest facing North in the North ditch on US 50.

McEntee and a minor passenger in the F-150 received suspected minor injuries and were taken to the Kearney County Hospital.

Muncy and a Minor passenger in the Explorer were also taken to the Kearny County Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

Seatbelts were in use by all occupants of the vehicles.
