Liberal boys tennis competed a WAC tennis in Hays on Monday.  Here is the report from coach David Short.

Not the exact results we wanted. Had to switch things up last minute so lost our #1 doubles that would have dominated. Still played hard all around. Competed with a freshman, 3 sophomores and  seniors. Such a close WAC.

Liberal 8pt

Hays 6pts

Individually:

1 singles Aron Duque went 2-2 for 3rd place

2 singles Frankie Landers finished 0-4 in his first varsity tournament.

1 doubles Diego Flores & Aaron Munoz finished 1-3 in their first tournament together.

2 doubles Easton Martinez & J’Kobe Contreras continued their hot streak and finished 4-0 for the WAC championship.

ONE point away from first place. A couple tie-break losses go the other way and we have it.
