Jackie Ray Oglesby, 95, of Liberal, passed away on Thursday April 23, 2026 at the Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, KS.
He was born on December 10, 1930 to William “Connie” and Jessie (Martin) Oglesby at Pleasant Hope, MO.
On June 12, 1952 he married Betty Baker at Harrison, Arkansas.
After high school, he enlisted in the Marines, serving during the Korean War. Jackie worked for many years as an inspector for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf, watching WWE Wrestling, and was an avid fan of Nascar. Most of all he loved being in his garage, just to putter around.
He was a member of the South Church of God.
Jackie is survived by his Daughter, Brenda Bressler of Liberal, KS; Granddaughter, Haley Gable of Liberal, KS; Three Grandsons, Brandon Bressler (Alyssa) of Aurora, CO, Aron Bressler (Lauren) of Wylie, TX, Justin Bressler (Kristen) of Wylie, TX; Three Great-granddaughters, Jenna Bressler, Makenna Bressler, Karley Bressler; Three Great-grandsons, J.J. Weis, Wyatt Bressler, Hudson Bressler; .
He was preceded in death by his Wife of 72 years, Betty Lou Oglesby, Daughter, Dianna Oglesby, Father, Connie Oglesby, Mother, Jessie Oglesby, Brothers, Bill Oglesby and Ben Oglesby.
There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place, per Jackie’s wishes.
A family led graveside inurnment service will be held on Monday May 11, 2026 at the Midway Cemetery in Floris, OK.
Miller Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
