Liberal sophomore softball player Haiden Lyon is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Lyon pitched a no hitter Thursday as Liberal blanked Hugoton 8-0.  She pitched all seven innings and struck out 15 in the win.  She has 36 strikeouts and 18 walks this season.  She is also having a good season as a hitter with a batting average of .400 with 10 runs, five doubles, and two triples.  Lyon is also involved in volleyball, powerlifting, and NHS.  Lyon and the Redskin softball team hosts Garden City at about 6pm Tuesday night at the National Beef Sports Complex.
