Eisenhower Quiets Liberal Offense

The Liberal Redskins traveled to Goddard to play the Eisenhower Tigers Tuesday afternoon and evening.  Eisenhower took both games  winning game one 6-2 and taking game two 2-0.

In game one, both teams had four hits.  LHS committed two errors.
Liberal took a 1-0 lead in the second. Blayden Betts tripled to right center.  Bren Kappelmann grounded out and drove home the run. In the bottom of the fifth, Eisenhower scored six. Kye Morris tripled to center in the sixth.  Ethan Olmstead singled him home.  Kye Morris pitched three shutout innings.  He was 2-3 at the plate.  Bentlee Betts went 2/3 scoreless and Austin Dodge pitched a scoreless inning.

In game two, both teams had two hits and LHS committed two errors.  Liberal struck out 11 times.  Redskin pitching did not allow an earned run.  Bren Kappelmann went three innings.  Bentlee Betts pitched two innings and did not allow an earned run.  Blayden Betts pitched a scoreless inning.

Goddard Eisenhower is 3-3.  Liberal is 4-6.  The Redskins play at Great Bend on Friday at 4pm for a double header with Redskin Pre-game at 3:45 on 1270 and 92.3 FM.
