Liberal sophomore center midfielder Ashley Batista is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Batista scored a goal in Liberal’s 4-0 win Tuesday over Wichita Classical in Wichita.  She dribbled most of the length of the field weaving through defenders for the goal.  Batista is a center midfielder for the Lady Red.  She was an all WAC player as a sophomore last year.  Batista also plays tennis at LHS.  Batista and the Lady Red play at Wichita South Thursday at 4pm.
