While conducting routine traffic patrol on March 29, 2026, Haskell County Deputies observed a northbound vehicle traveling a registered 91 mph in a 65 mph zone near the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 and County Road 140 in Sublette. After observing the speed violation, Deputies proceeded to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 and County Road 150 in Sublette. Once the driver, identified as Alan Sanchez, was contacted, deputies requested Sanchez provide valid proof of insurance, to which he was unable to produce. After further investigation, Sanchez was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Haskell County Jail where he was booked and processed for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, an expired registration, and no insurance.
