Homecoming week is underway at Seward County Community College. The college is celebrating its 56th Annual Homecoming, welcoming students, alumni and community members from Liberal and surrounding areas for a week of activities and athletic events.
There are plenty of student activities, including a pool party, cosmic bowling and a talent show. Other events include a Pep Rally at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Greenhouse and the President’s Picnic on Saturday at noon in the amphitheater area. Food, bouncy houses and giveaways will be available at the picnic.
Saturday’s athletic events include Lady Saints and Saints basketball against Cowley College at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively. SCCC’s 2026 Homecoming Royalty will be crowned during halftime of the men’s game.
The Saints baseball team will also be playing a doubleheader on Saturday, hosting Otero College, beginning at 1 p.m. at Brent Gould Field.
Homecoming activities will wrap up with the alumni and friends social at Billy’s Ayr Lanes at 7 p.m., sponsored by the SCCC Foundation.
Community Bank is sponsor for Homecoming activities and Lady Saints and Saints basketball games.
“SCCC Homecoming is a time to bring together our students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community to celebrate what it means to be a Saint,” said Cody Cole, SCCC Associate VP of Athletics. “We are proud to honor our athletic legacy while recognizing the achievements of our current student-athletes.”
