Tuesday’s Middle School Results

News on SRMS XC at Hays meet, Sept. 11, 2018

The Seymour Rogers Middle School Cross Country trekked to Hays to compete
against 11 other teams.

The Seymour Rogers 7th grade girls blasted the competition. Daniela
Cerda led the Apaches with a time of 7:03 to wrest 1st place.

The Apache 7th grade boys ran well with a few PR times. George Tejada
placed
5th for a medal. George secured the place with a time of 6:51.

The Seymour Rogers Apache 8th grade girls ran splendidly. Lilia Batz
earned a 10th place medal by running a13:15 two mile course.

The Seymour Rogers Apache 8th grade boys placed 3rd in a field of excellent
runners. Emmanuel Coronado led the Apaches with a medal for 4th. Emmanuel
had a time of 13:17 in the 2 mile course.

Today our XC team traveled to Hays to compete against our league teams as
well as some teams outside our league.

Our 7th grade girls kicked off the action finishing in 7th place.

Our 7th grade boys finished in 2nd with two medalist. Daniel Pavia in 9th
and Jose Relles in 6th.

Eighth grade girls finished in 2nd place with our lone medalist Hallie West
in 8th.

Finishing as champions of the meet was our 8th grade boys. They had two
medalist in Daniel Amparan 8th and David Villa 5th. Finishing just out of
the medals was Gideon Wright 11th, Elian Laguna 12th, Anthony Castijella
14th, and Hudson Brown 16th.

Next up we will take a skeleton on a team to Hugoton on Saturday at 9:00 am.
