Trejo Takes First as LHS Competes in Maize

Liberal’s wrestling team took just six wrestlers to the Maize wrestling tournament on Saturday.  But all were competitive for the Redskins.  LHS took eighth place with only six wrestlers.  Elwin Trejo won the heavyweight division going 5-0.  Josh Martinez placed second and was 4-1.  Emmanuel Peralta was 4-1 and placed third.  Carlos Mora came away with fifth.  Misael Monarrez was fifth going 3-2.  Emmanuel Rivero was 2-3.  LHS duals at Woodward on Tuesday and competes in the Kapaun Duals on Saturday.
