As the 2009-2010 NJCAA Academic All-American Awards come

out, the Seward County Saints and Lady Saints find their names spread

Highlighting the list of 10 are Men’s Tennis player

Carlos Souza, Women’s Tennis player Shaley Thomas, and Women’s

Basketball player Liz Ginther who all received Distinguished Academic

All-American honors by achieving overall GPA’s of 3.80 or above. The 7

student-athletes named Academic All-American for maintaining GPA’s

between 3.60-3.80 were Baseball players Luke Campbell, Josh Dawson,

Hayden Holub, and Jared Wagner, Softball player Amy Schartz, Men’s

Tennis player Fernando Soni, and Volleyball player Taryn Westerman.

Seven of the student-athletes named to the list were

Jayhawk West Champions at Seward County this season while four
