The Tiq Attack Helps SCCC Beat Hesston

KSCB News - November 9, 2009 12:00 am

Latiq Agard is back. The sophomore forward scored 25 points in Seward’s 85-67 win over Hesston (1-2) Saturday night in the Green House. The pre-season second team all American is coming off a knee injury which haulted his season during the second half of last year’s conference opener. The 6’4″ left from Queens, New York averaged 21.5 points and seven rebounds for SCCC last year before the injury. Donte McCarter added 12 points. Jon Tassin scored 11. Marcus James, Marky Nolen, and Robert Sigala scored 10 a piece as well for the 2-0 Saints. Sigala says ball movement was the key. “We started working the ball and that’s when we started getting our shots,” the sophomore from Southwestern Heights said. “We also had to pick it up defensively. Once we got that going everything was going perfectly for us.” The 2-0 Saints play three games in Twin Falls, Idaho Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. KSCB is trying to get a feed of Saturday night’s game against CSI. Otherwise, the next game on air will be the game November 20th and 21st in the Billy’s-Days Inn Classic.
