Texas Woman Killed in Accident Near Optima

A 21-year-old Texas woman was killed Sunday evening after colliding with oncoming traffic in Optima on U.S. Highway 54. Ashley Wolf, of Seminole, Texas was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol. About 7:52 p.m., Wolf was traveling east in a 2007 Ford Mustang on U.S. 54 at County Road Q. About that time, Riyadh Majeed, 57, of Ontario, Canada, was traveling west on the highway in a tractor-trailer. Wolf swerved to avoid striking a dog in the roadway, crossed the center median and struck the tractor-trailer. Wolf received internal and external trunk injuries, and was transported to Henson Novak Funeral Home in Guymon by the funeral home. Majeed was not injured.
