SWMC introduces Ian, New Year s baby 2016

Southwest Medical Center welcomed Liberal s first newborn of 2016 during the early hours of New Year s Day. Ian Jesus Vazquez was delivered by Dr. Dennis Knudsen at 2:14 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Baby Ian was born to new mother, Pamela Aileen Rosales Gandarilla, of Liberal. He weighed in at 9 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 21 inches in length. Ian is the grandson of Claudia Gandarilla and Guillermo De La Torres.

The team at Southwest Medical Center cared for 778 total newborn deliveries in 2015, up from 760 deliveries during 2014.
