Southwest Kansas is the Place to Hunt Pheasant in 2017 and 2018

Dodge City, Garden City, Hugoton, Jetmore, Liberal, and Ulysses Kansas (Ford, Finney, Stevens, Hodgeman, Seward and Grant Counties) are pleased to announce this annual pheasant hunting contest.
During this year’s hunting season, over 300 Pheasants (50 Pheasants per county) will be banded on the leg and released in Ford County, near Dodge City, Kansas, in Finney County, near Garden City Kansas, in Grant County, near Ulysses, Stevens County near Hugoton, in Hodgeman County, near Jetmore Kansas, and Seward County near Liberal. If you are lucky enough to bag one of the banded Pheasants, bring your leg band to one of the approved locations to register your leg band and claim your prize!
Kansas consistently ranks as one of the top three when compared to other states’ annual harvests of pheasants, and with 185,000 acres of walk in hunting land that is open to hunters in southwest Kansas, this area will give you a shot at Cash and SIX GRAND PRIZES.
Once you bring in the leg band, and get it registered, you will automatically receive a “Rooster Roundup” Hat, and a community gift worth at least $10.00.
At that time, your leg band will be entered to win the GRAND PRIZE of $500.00 in Community Gift Certificate “Bucks” from each community, to be used for purchases of the Winners Choice in each community.
If you are lucky enough to bag one of the banded Pheasants, hunters will need to bring the leg band to one of the approved locations to register the leg band, and to be able to claim a prize.  Contest winners will be determined by a drawing shortly after the end of the contest, winners will be contacted by phone. Prize winners will be announced at that time.
The “Rooster Roundup” Pheasant Contest runs from November 11th 2017 to January 31st 2018.
Drawing for the Grand Prize will take place after the end of the contest (January 31st 2018) Winners will be contacted by phone. Prize winners will be announced at that time.

·         $10.00 Community Gift Certificate ‘Bucks’ per each registered leg band (TOTAL of 300- 50 per community). * Some communities will be giving gifts worth more than $10.00
·         $500.00 Community Gift Certificate ‘Bucks’  (TOTAL of 6 -1 per community)
Rules & Regulations:
No cost to enter. All licensed hunters, 18 and older, are welcome to participate and collect prizes.
Entries accepted from November 11th 2017 through January 31st 2018.
Each leg band entry must be turned in at one of the approved locations in Dodge City, Garden City, Hugoton, Jetmore, Liberal, or Ulysses to be registered.
A number is assigned to each leg band, the Grand Prize winner will be revealed the week following the contests end- January 31st 2018.
A valid hunting license should be presented when submitting your leg band entry.
