Snowpacked Roads Cause Crash North of Sublette

One man is hurt after a crash on snowpacked Highway 83 Saturday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at about 1 p.m. Saturday one mile north of Sublette. A vehicle driven by 31 year old Hugo Chavez-Garcia of Garden City was pulling a trailer north on 83 but was driving too fast for road conditions due to snowpack. The car and trailer lost control and started a side skid. An oncoming vehicle driven by 31 year old Bob William Dean of Garden City struck the trailer causing injuries to Bob William Dean. He was taken to Satanta District Hospital.
