Skins Spikers Tie for Second at WAC

Liberal’s volleyball team went 2-2 for a tie for second place in the WAC volleyball tournament in Dodge City Saturday. LHS defeated Dodge City (25-21, 25-16) and Hays (25-16, 25-19) but lost to Garden City (26-24, 19-25, 18-25) and Great Bend (22-25, 10-25). Garden City won the WAC.

Jai Chapman had 27 kills on the day while Megan Besecker had 26 kills and 10 aces. Katy Garcia added 39 assists and 11 aces.

Liberal is 21-16 and hosts 5A sub state Saturday at 2 at the Big House.
