Shorthanded Skins Run in Newton

Our boys and Girls teams were both short handed on Saturday October 1st, at Newton Invitational Cross Country Meet;
a meet that hosted multiple state ranked teams in the 4A, 5A, and 6A division.
Our girls competed without Destyni Lucero, who has been our number one runner each race. The girls finished 7th out of 12 teams.
Our Varsity Runners were

Mercy Perez – 10th place – 16.39
Janette Borunda – 24th place – 17.12
Alexandria chandler – 29th place – 17.17
McKenzie Wright – 32nd place – 17.24
Vanny DeLeon – 48th place – 18.08
Kim Francis – 53rd place – 18.33
Neda Chuon – 62nd palce – 19.29
The Lady Redskins are currently the 9th ranked team in 5A.

Our boys had to compete without Angel Viveros and Fidel Munoz, who have been our number 1 and number 2 runners at each of our meets.
The boys placed 3rd at the meet, only behind Dodge City who was first, and ranked 9th in 6A, and Wamego who was 2nd place and is ranked first in 4A.

Daniel Drazier – 22nd place – 17.45 (a 26 second personal record)
Marco Espinoza – 33rd place – 18.21
Obed Quintana – 37th place – 18:35
Garret Allaman – 40th place – 18.41
Cesar Flores – 46th place – 18.51
Jerry Valdez – 65th place – 19.39
The Redskins are currently the 5th ranked team in 5A.
