Seward’s King Signs at UTA

LIBERAL, Kan. – Seward County Community College pitcher Tanner King has signed to play with Division I University of Texas at Arlington next fall.
King was Seward’s top starter in the spring, going 6-3 with a 3.99 ERA and posted two complete games. He struck out 81 and walked 22 over 67 2/3 innings. King also earned KJCCC Pitcher of the Week three times during the season.
The 6-1 righty from Canyon, Texas, will join a Mavericks team, managed by former SCCC assistant Darin Thomas, which finished 17-12 in the Sun Belt Conference.
