Seward’s Kennedy and Giberson Sign

LIBERAL, Kan. – Seward County Community College baseball players Ryan Giberson and Jordan Kennedy will be continuing their athletic careers at four-year institutions in the fall.

Giberson, a pitcher, will be headed to Belmont Abbey in North Carolina while Kennedy, an infielder, has signed with Oklahoma Christian University. Both schools are Division II.

Giberson was 3-2 with a 7.98 ERA over 38 1/3 innings in 12 appearances last season for Seward. The 6-3 righty from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, will be playing for the Crusaders, who went 14-10 in the Conference Carolinas and 27-24 overall in the spring.

Kennedy batted .214 with seven RBIs in 19 games last season for the Saints. The Hooker, Oklahoma-native will join the Eagles, who were 10-11 in the Heartland Conference and 28-20 overall last season.
