Seward Grounds Cloud in Conference Opener

Seward continues an incredible stretch of winning every volleyball match against Cloud since 1990. Wednesday night in the Green House, the Saints beat the Thunderbirds 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-16) in front of a big crowd. Seward had 10 blocks as they improved to 3-2 and 1-0 in the Jayhawk West and Cloud falls to 1-4 and 0-1 in the Jayhawk West. Annelise Sanchez had 10 kills and Morgan Riley added five kills and six digs. Kelci Bedingfield had 14 digs.

High school teams from Hugoton, Liberal, Satanta, Meade, and Rolla attended the match.

Seward plays at the Vernon tournament beginning Friday at 2 against #3 division 3 Brookhaven and North Central Texas at 6. Saturday Seward plays former Seward assistant Alana Rowland’s Odessa at 9 a.m. with the first place match and third place match coming in the afternoon.
