Seward Finishes Trip with Sweep at Mesa

After two losses to Glendale Wednesday, Seward bounced back by sweeping Mesa Thursday in Arizona. Seward won games 4-3 and 5-2 after losses Wednesday to Glendale 6-0 and 9-6.

Thursday Seward won game one at Mesa 4-3. Both teams traded three run third innings. Seward scored a run in the seventh for the lead. Joe-Ann Rapoza hit a home run in the win. Jaclyn Wagner pitched the Lady Saints to victory allowing just three hits.

Seward won game two 5-2 by scoring two in the first and adding single runs in the third, fifth, and sixth. Becky Allen was 3-4 with three RBI’s. Andrea Sitter scored two runs. Katelyn Craker pitched Seward to the win scattering seven hits.

Seward is 24-7 and returns to the diamond Tuesday for a 3 p.m. double header against Colby in Liberal.
