Seward County Commission Continues Burn Ban

The Seward County Board Of County Commissioners met Monday evening at 5:30pm for their regular meeting. Among the items on the agenda the Commissioners approved closing the Seward County Administration Building on October the 11th to host the Southwest Kansas Association of Counties to hold the regional meeting. Also the Seward County Commission approved contracts with KDH&E and the Seward County Health Department, the contract with Professional Legal Services, and unanimously approved to continue the Burn Ban for Seward County. The Commission also set September the 19th as the date to have a work session to discuss the fair and the car races. Representatives of Seward County will also meet with local Funeral Homes to discuss the SRS Funeral Assistance Program. The next meeting of the Board of Commissioners will be September 19th.
