Semi Crashes into Mustang and Kills Liberal Teen

A Liberal teen lost his life when a semi ran into the Mustang he was driving yesterday afternoon. Sixteen year old Michael Boyd Huntley-Redmond passed away after the crash. The crash occurred at 2:45 2.5 miles south of the Highway 54 County Road P junction in Seward County. A 1996 semi tractor driven by 71 year old Charles Lucas of Liberal was southbound on County Road P. Huntley-Redmond was driving a 1998 Ford Mustang east on County Road 2. The semi failed to yield at the intersection and struck the Mustang. The semi driver Lucas was injured and taken to Southwest Medical Center with injuries.
