SCCC Party Auction goes “Back to the 80s” Saturday

Joe Denoyer - September 12, 2017 11:16 am

The Seward County Community College Foundation Party Auction set for Saturday promises to take guests “Back to the 80s” — and they can expect to come back with something “totally awesome.”

Time is limited though, as tickets are sold only in advance, though Friday. No tickets will be sold at the door. To purchase a ticket, stop by First National Bank (main or Walmart branch).

The evening features a full dinner, dessert, and drinks, as well as live entertainment, silent and live auctions, and few fun twists like the Lucky Draw booth, photo booth, wine and beer tables, and fun with friends. All proceeds support student scholarships and programs at SCCC. Tickets are $35 per person.

Event organizer, SCCC’s Major Gifts Officer Chandler Kirkhart said the event, in its 23rd year, has kept everything guests love, with a few extra twists.

“We have more experience-based packages in our live auction this year,” said Kirkhart, “and several major sponsors who have helped us move to the next level. The theme is fun, people can come in costume if they want, or just visit the 80s without the big hair and neon colors.”

The SCCC Foundation Party Auction takes place from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 16) at the Seward County Activity Center. Tickets are sold only in advance at First National Bank (main or Walmart branch) in Liberal.
