Scam Being Conducted In The Area

KSCB Radio has been contacted by the Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, Bill Prater, about a scam that is going on in the area, where the indivdual is using the name of his church for monetary gain. This individual is going around the area, both in the city and county, and to homes and businesses, saying that Fellowship Baptist Church is currently raising funds to help the family of a soldier who was killed in Iraq. This is a scam, the church is not currently conducting any fundraiser for veteran causes. If you are contacted by this individual, do not give this person any money and please notify the Liberal Police Department immediately at 620-626-0140.
