Saints Win Heart Pounder with Pratt

With a 97 degree temperature outside at 6:30, the scene was set on a steamy night in the Green House. Seward and Pratt, two teams who came in tied for second in the Jayhawk, slugged it out for five sets before Seward won 3-2. Seward won 20-25, 25-15, 16-25, 25-18, and 15-9. Alex Wood led Seward with 19 kills and five digs. Jade Piper had 29 assists and Amanda Pereira added 16. Vivian Viana added 11 kills. Kimberly Diaz had 18 digs and Viana added nine. Megan Sharratt had three aces. Seward has won four of their last five and stands 7-6 overall and 4-1 in the Jayhawk. Seward travels north to the Wyo-Braska Shootout in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Torrington, Wyoming where they will play Laramie County and Western Wyoming Friday in Scottsbluff and face Eastern Wyoming and Central Wyoming at Torrington, Wyoming.
