Saints Claw Past Cowley

What a week for the Saints. Seward finished with two road wins to begin Jayhawk Conference play this week after a 78-71 win at Cowley at Scott Audutorium in Ark City Saturday night.

Seward led throughout including 35-28 at the half. The Saints built a 28-14 first half lead. Seward held the Tigers to 31 percent shooting while the Saints shot 49 percent. Seward won despite Cowley holding a 58-27 rebounding advantage. Delano Jones dropped dagger after dagger scoring 22 points on 6- 10 shooting from three point range. Charles Beauregard scored 18 . Niemeyer Stevenson fought off foul trouble with 13 points.

The #23 Saints are 12-1 and 2-0 in the KJCCC while the Tigers are 9-5 and 1-2. The Saints have claimed six of the last seven against the Tigers. Seward hosts Butler Wednesday at 8 on 107.5 and kscbnews.net.
