Saints Can’t Stop Pratt

The Saints played well offensively in Pratt Wednesday night. But Seward couldn’t keep up with the reigning Region 6 champions in an 88-86 loss in the Beaver Dome Wednesday night. Pratt made 55 percent of their shots for the game and 59 percent in the second half. The Saints shot 49 percent in the game and 57 percent in the second half in the loss. Pratt out rebounded Seward by nine 37-28. Kevin Sims scored 18 while Nick Singleton dropped in 17. Secean Johnson and Darius Polley had 14 a piece while Jamal Poplar fought foul trouble and scored 12 points before fouling out. The Beavers top the Saints for the third time in four tries and a second straight year in Pratt. Seward is 8-7 overall and 1-1 in the Jayhawk West while Pratt is 11-5 and 2-0. Seward will be featured during the Green Line Thursday night at 6 at Billy’s on 1270 and kscbnews.net. The Saints host the Cloud County Thunderbirds Saturday night at 8 on B107.5 and kscbnews.net. The Bank of Beaver City is the buyout sponsor.
