Road Work Starts On K-23 North Of Meade

KSCB News - April 27, 2012 12:05 pm

Work has started on a resurfacing project on K-23 from Meade to the junction of K-23 and US-56. This project consists of a surface recycle followed by a chip seal.

During construction, traffic will be restricted to one lane through the work zone, guided by a pilot car. The Kansas Department of Transportation reminds drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs, slow down and be prepared to stop. There is also an 11-foot lane width restriction through this project.

Dustrol, Inc., of Towanda, Kansas, is the primary contractor on this approximately $2.1 million T-WORKS preservation project. KDOT expects this project to be completed by mid-June, weather permitting.

If you have questions regarding this project on K-23, you may contact Greg Adams, Construction Engineer, at 620-624-4451 or Kirk Hutchinson, KDOT Southwest Public Affairs Manager, at 1-877-550-5368 (toll free).
