Redskins Mercy Rule Great Bend in WAC Opener

One year after Great Bend swept Liberal in soccer, the Redskins opened their 2018 WAC season with a 10-0 mercy rule win over Great Bend at Cavanaugh Field in Great Bend. The game ended with 15 minutes remaining in the game. Mike Fonseca scored six goals. Robert Campos, Estevan Dominguez, and Erick Ortiz added goals. Darius Archuleta and David Arroyo had two assists a piece. Edwin Garcia and Ramon Hernandez added assists. Liberal is 2-0 and begins play in the Wichita South Titan Classic Monday against Wichita Independent.
