Redskins Blow Out Ark City

Liberal advances to the sub-state title game for the third consecutive year with a 64-41 win at home over Ark City Thursday night. The Skins led by as many as 19 in the first half (36-17) and led 36-21 at the half. Ark City (2-19) cut Liberal’s lead to eight (36-28) with 3:30 to play in the third quarter before going on a 10-2 run to finish the quarter. Kevin Livingston poured in 22 points while Jade Cathey added 15. Eric Brown dropped in 12 points and Alex Gilmore added 11. The Redskins are 16-5 and will play 9-11 Kapaun Saturday night at 7:45 in Winfield on Talkradio 1270 and kscb.net. Pre-game will begin at 7:30.
