Rattlers Win Big in Districts at Kinsley

The 18U Rattlers began their district trail successfully Thursday evening.  The Rattlers beat SPIAA 10-0 and 17-1.

In the 10-0 win, Tucker Deaton did not allow a hit.  He shrugged of six walks with eight strikeouts in the win.  Elijah McCarter, Cesar Burciaga, and Saul Mendoza had two hits a piece.  Mendoza had three RBI’s.

In game two, Kaleb Wilmes had his usual pinpoint control with five innings, eight strikeouts, and no walks.  Braxton Hyde and Alex Yanez had three hits a piece.  McCarter and Hyde had doubles.

The Rattlers are 26-5.  They will play at state in Wellington next week with check in Wednesday and games on Thursday.  Most of the team will play for the 16U team at Westurban in Wichita Friday at 1 against the Wichita Aeros and play again at 5:45.
