Priscilla Vasquez is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior tennis player Priscilla Vasquez is this week’s

Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week. Vasquez became the

first LHS girl to qualify for state since Susan Nguyen about eight

years ago. As the #14 seed, Vasquez battled past the #3 seed from

Wichita South and the #5 seed from Hutchinson Saturday in Garden City.

Vasquez is involved in That Liberal Bank, bowling, and is the boys

tennis manager. She competes at 6A state at Topeka’s Kossover Tennis

Center on Friday.
