Police Make Arrests In Dodge City Stabbing

Dodge City Police have made an arrest in connection to a weekend stabbing.

Jerry Dean Allen, 49, of Dodge City and 41-year-old Paul Clingham, also of Dodge City have been arrested on charges of Attempted second degree murder and aggravated robbery. Clingham is also facing a charge of disorderly conduct.

Police discovered the stabbing after being called to the hospital around 7 p.m. Friday. The 27-year-old victim had arrived there by private vehicle.

Clingham was arrested in Madera County, California. Ford County authorities had received a tip that he had been hiding at a residence there. Madera County deputies conducted surveillance on the home and attempted to stop a vehicle seen leaving the area.

A short chase ensued and Clingham was taken into custody. He is awaiting at the Madera County Sheriff Department Detention Center.
