Perryton Teen Killed Crossing The Street

A Perryton teen lost his life Monday night after being struck by a vehicle while he was trying to cross the street.
According to The High Plains Observer, 18-year-old Christen Don Richards was trying to cross South Main Street around 9:50 Monday night, when he was struck by a 2007 Ford pickup.
The incident happened in the 1900- block of South Main Street.
Richards was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This incident is still under investigation and a request has been submitted to Texas DPS for an accident reconstruction team to assist with the investigation.
