Pedestrians Identified In Fatality Accident

Two men from Arizona were killed when they were hit by a pickup truck in Liberal Saturday. The accident happened after 11:00 p.m. on East Second Street.

Troopers said the pickup was eastbound when it struck the two men on the roadway.

Killed were Benson Chee, 31, of Teec Nos Pos, Arizona, and Eugene Laughing, Jr., 35, of Chinle, Arizona.

Two women inside the truck weren’t hurt.

Troopers don’t know what the men were doing in the Liberal area. They were wearing dark clothing at the time of the accident, which made it difficult to see them.
