Brock Kappelmann - April 17, 2017 2:21 pm

Goodwell, Okla.-OPSU offers three camps this summer to youth interested in honing their basketball skills. Camps take place on the Panhandle State campus and fill up quickly, so early registration for all is strongly encouraged.

This year Aggie women’s basketball will host a Team Camp June 1-3. Geared towards junior varsity and varsity squads, this camp offers teams a chance to compete in the off-season in an organized and competitive environment. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of ten games, and athletic trainers, officials, scorekeepers and clock keepers will be provided for all games. With pricing available for both commuter and resident teams, this camp is a great fit for any team in the area to build chemistry and skill among teammates. Registration is due by May 12 with deposits due to guarantee space. Interested parties can contact Coach Vic Esparza at 505-603-2963 or by email at [email protected].

Once again, the Panhandle State men’s basketball team will put on two separate youth camps this summer Both camps are open to boys and girls with the first geared towards younger athletes entering grades 2-4. This camp will take place June 12-15 from 1-4 p.m. each day. The second camp is offered for kids entering grades 5-8 and runs from 1-5 p.m. daily. Each camp offers individuals the chance to increase their knowledge, improve their skills and compete against other athletes at a much lower price than other camps. Camps will cover fundamentals and skill development with lots of fun throughout the four-day experience. Each participant that registers before June 2 will receive a t-shirt and camp basketball.
