18 individuals from The City of Liberal, Seward County, Liberal Chamber of Commerce, Seward County Community College, and the International Pancake Day Board made the trip to Topeka to serve Pancakes st the State Capitol on Monday.

A breakfast of pancakes and sausage  was served to almost 200 individuals that included Senators, Representatives, and staffers. 2017 Pancake Day books and gift bags of pancake batter was also handed out to those in attendance. The group also promoted the upcoming Pancake Day festivities which will kickoff on February 25, culminating with the International Race and Parade on February 28th.

Pancakes at the Capitol was once a tradition but hadn’t been done in at least 15 years. The International Pancake Day Board hopes to revive this and once again make it an annual event.
