Optima Man Arrested For Sexual Abuse

KSCB News - July 27, 2009 12:00 am

An Optima man is now behind bars for sexual battery alleged by a woman at a Guymon convenience store.

According to a story in the Guymon Daily Herald,Rodrigo Reynosa, 26, of Optima, entered a Guymon convenience store and reportedly sexually assaulted an employee.

The affidavit says Reynosa originally entered the store to purchase cigarettes. However, his loitering caused the employee to feel uneasy so she asked him to leave the premises.

Raynosa allegedly asked the woman if he could perform oral sex on her, to which she responded no, and asked him to leave. After refusing to leave, Reynosa then told the victim she could perform oral sex on him and “no one will know,” to which she asked him to leave again.

The victim then began refilling coffee and Reynosa allegedly came up behind her, pushing her up against the counter with his torso and forced himself upon her in a sexual manner. After a brief struggle and intimidating remarks by Reynosa, he began to walk away uttering sexually explicit advances. The victim then called a friend at a nearby restaurant for help. The friend arrived and convinced Reynosa to leave and police were called.

According to the Affidavit, Reynosa’s criminal history shows several charges for disorderly conduct, domestic violence and one charge for battery. The officer reports he should also be considered a flight risk as he travels to Milwaulkee, WI., frequently.

Reynosa is being held on a $12,500 bond with the condition that he has no contact with the said victim. He is currently at the Texas County Detention Center on the felony charge of sexual battery.
