KSCB News - September 2, 2014 8:18 am

An injury accident Saturday morning pinned the driver in the vehicle for over an hour. At approximately 7:25am Saturday morning, a 2012 GMC Yukon being driven by Kara Pelton, 41, of Blanchard Oklahoma, was northbound on highway 83, 8 miles South of Turpin Oklahoma, when a 2013 Kenworth semi being driven by Gregorio Martinez-Flores, 75, of Beaver Oklahoma, turned onto Highway 83 also heading North. The semi was getting up to speed when it was rear ended by the Pelton vehicle. Kara Pelton was pinned in her vehicle for approximately one hour, before she was taken to Southwest Medical Center to be treated for Head, Leg, and External injuries. She was later flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, and is listed in stable condition. Martinez-Flores was not injured. Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
