Wilma Faye Norsworthy, age 87, passed away early Monday morning, August 14, 2017, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.
 
She was born October 27, 1929, at rural Russell Springs, Kansas, the daughter of William H. and Ruby Faye (Martindale) Hillery.  As a young girl, she attended school in the Russell Springs area, graduating from Russell Springs High School.  She later attended Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, where she received her degree.
 
On June 1, 1952, she married Robert C. Norsworthy at Marienthal, Kansas.  After their marriage the couple made their home in Meade.  Over the years she was a homemaker, a Tupperware Distributor, and a cook for Lone Tree Retirement Center.
 
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, serving in several capacities including a Sunday school teacher and a department supervisor.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, delivering meals and baked goods to families in need, and spending time with her family and friends.
 
She is survived by a son, Steve Norsworthy and wife Linda of Meade; a daughter, Cindy Taylor and husband Brian of Battle Ground, Washington; two brothers, Lee Hillery of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Paul Hillery of Scott City, Kansas; six grandchildren, Dana Hansen, Sherry Elder, Darren Norsworthy, Amanda Johnson, Lane Taylor, and Luke Taylor; twelve great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
 
She is preceded in death by her husband on July 25, 2013; two brothers, Howard Dale and Joseph Mark Hillery; and a sister, Vivian Lucille Chambers.
 
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2017, at the Church of the Nazarene, Meade.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.   Interment will follow the service in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
 
The family would welcome memorials to the Church of the Nazarene in care of the funeral home.
