Temple Lee Reed

Temple Lee Reed, 85, of Rolla, KS, passed away at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton, KS on December 1, 2019.
She was born July 7, 1934, to Pat and Martha “Jack” (Pennington) Hurd in Antlers, OK. Temple graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University with a Bachelors in English High School Education.
Temple and Ronald Reed were married September 11, 1953, in Udall, KS. They enjoyed spending time together, she and Ron just recently celebrated 66 years of marriage. To this union were three children, Greg, Mike, and Kathy.
Temple was very active in her community, she enjoyed people and her students that she taught throughout the 20 years she was at USD #217. She taught Jr. High and High School English until she in 1992 and Ron retired in 1993. She loved teaching and loved being around the students each day. She and Ron continued being apart the Rolla Booster Club throughout the years and enjoyed still being involved with the school. She was a part of the Red Hat Society and several quilting associations. Temple was active in the Morton County Community Theater. Temple was an actor and director of the theater. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church, Rolla.
Survivors include husband, Ronald Reed, Rolla, KS; sons, Greg Reed and wife Raquel, Wichita, KS and Mike Reed, Rolla, KS; daughter, Kathy Reed and husband Mackie Redd, Hillsboro, NM; grandchildren, Kirsten Kramer and husband Josh, Peck, KS, Kaitlyn Wasigner and husband Kyle, Park City, KS, Marisa Weaver and husband Richie, Dennison, TX, Montana Redd, Las Vegas, NV, Natty Mourglia and husband Todd, Joplin, MO, Maya Stucky and Ellie Stucky, Wichita, KS; great-grandchildren, Gavin Mourglia, Matt Dennison, Bailey Dennison, Nora Wasinger, and Mia Wasinger; and many other relatives and friends.
Temple was preceded in death by her parents Pat and Martha “Jack” Hurd and sister, Sally Young.
A memorial has been established for Rolla Hope and Rolla Lions Club. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2019, 2 PM to 8 PM and Friday, December 6, 2019, 10 AM to 8 PM, Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.
Funeral service will be Saturday, December 7, 2019, 10:30 AM at United Methodist Church, Rolla, KS. Burial to follow at Rolla Cemetery.
Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton is in charge of arrangements.
