Mary Ann Roybal, 75, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away February 21, 2017 at Vibra Hospital in Amarillo, Texas

Mary Ann was born December 22, 1941 in Roy, New Mexico, the daughter of Esequiel and Annie Romero. She grew up and attended school in Roy and later the family moved to Clayton, New Mexico.

In 1959 she was united in marriage to Tony Roybal in Hugoton, Kansas. They made Boise City, Oklahoma their first home. Later they move to Hugoton, Kansas, Texhoma, Oklahoma and Guymon, Oklahoma before settling in Hooker in 1976.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hooker and was a Eucharist minister, catechism teacher, sang in the church choir, was a teacher for the Marriage Covenant, and was in the Cursillo Movement.

Mary Ann enjoyed shopping for herself and for others, she and Tony read the Bible each day and said the rosary. She was a giver to others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Elsie Rivera.

Members of the family are her husband, Tony of the home; two sons, Tony Roybal, Jr. and his wife, Joanette of Palmer, Texas and Ronnie Roybal and his wife, Debbie of Montezuma, Kansas; three daughters, Lou Ann Moreno and her husband, Arnulfo of Hugoton, Kansas, Donna Sue Byrd and her husband, John Anthony, Sr. of Hooker, Oklahoma, Roberta Lee Roybal of Hooker, Oklahoma; one sister, Vickey Cordova of Stinnett, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

 A Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hooker, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Guymon with Fr. Mike Wheelahan as celebrant. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
