Margaret R. Blehm, age 83, died Saturday evening, July 23, 2016, at the Lone Tree Retirement Center, Meade, Kansas.
 
She was born October 26, 1932, at Rosenort, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of John and Margaret (Dyek) Siemens.  As a young girl she attended school in Rosenort.  In 1953, she moved to Meade, Kansas.  On February 20, 1954, she married Paul Jacob Blehm at Meade.  After their marriage, they made their home on the Borchers-Blehm family farm in rural Meade County, Kansas.  Over the years, she prepared and decorated many cakes and along with her husband they farmed and ranched.  After Paul’s death, she continued as a Lady Rancher, but she also continued to bake and decorate cakes.  She made many of the wedding cakes in Southwest Kansas
 
She was an beloved member of the Church of the Nazarene, a director of missions, the Boosters EHU, and was a 4-H leader for the Town and Country 4-H.  She enjoyed painting, photography, and spending time with her family and friends.
 
She is survived by:
Two sons,                                                Russell Blehm of Meade, Kansas
                                                            Rodney Blehm of Meade, Kansas
 
Two daughters,                                                Sue Blehm of Meade, Kansas
                                                            Sharon Blehm of Meade, Kansas
 
A brother,                                                Jake Siemens of British Colombia
 
Four grandchildren,                                     Deborah Wood, Brenda Wheeler, Jenny Turner, and Garrett Blehm
 
Nine great-grandchildren                                    One great-great-grandchild
 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul on August 28, 1994; a brother, Pete Siemens; four sisters, Betty Severson, Sue Orynick, Donna Coats, and Helen Young.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Church of the Nazarene, Meade.  Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.  Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
 
The family would welcome memorials to the Lone Tree Retirement Center of the Church or the Nazarene Missions Program in care of the funeral home.
